Description:

An awareness program on the concept of the foreign/the other/the different, using audiovisual media and theatre techniques.

The action is part of the educational program "What if it were you?" and is part of the educational programs of the Chania Film Festival.

The "what if it were you?" It is a program to raise awareness of the wider educational community on human rights and refugee issues with experiential activities, theater techniques and educational drama.
It has been implemented since February 2015 by the Panhellenic Network for Theatre in Education, in collaboration with UNHCR.

Short Bio:

Aglaia Naka

He was born in 1988. She graduated from the Department of Theatre Studies of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Patras in 2010. For 13 years now, she has been designing and implementing theatre pedagogical programs and animating experiential workshops for groups of children, adolescents and adults. She has taught theatre education in primary and secondary education. She deals with applied theater for children and adults through writing, directing with her participation in performances, groups and performances. She is particularly interested in social theatre and vulnerable social groups. She is a collaborator of the Panhellenic Network for Theatre in Education as a local coordinator, animating programs and participating in its performances.In recent years she has been living and active in Chania.

Christos Rachiotis

Since 2003 he lives and works in Chania (with the exception of the period 2010-16).

As an actor (Higher School of Dramatic Art "Arhi" 1998), he has been working since 1989, trying different kinds of theater.

She has participated in theatrical performances, television series, shows (TV and web, dubbing and films (short and feature films).

In the field of audiovisual (postgraduate studies in "Audiovisual Arts in the Digital Age", Ionian University), she has participated in digital art festivals in Greece and abroad.

He has served in the Educational Radio and Television of the Ministry of Education (2010-16, responsible for television program – cameraman – editor), having participated as a trainer in educational programs, festivals and European programs on film making in schools.

Since 2015 he is a member and trainer of the Panhellenic Network for Theatre in Education, undertaking the animation of groups of different ages.
